San Diego has been called America’s Finest City for good reason: beautiful sunshine, outdoorsy people, and a long list of activities to keep every adventure-seeker satisfied. Downtown San Diego today is a vibrant, trendy area boasting over 100 bars, nightclubs and shops in a 16 & ½ block area. You might never guess that this beautiful city began as one of California’s largest red light districts and remained a place of ill repute well into the 1980s. Luckily for you, things have changed and we’ll take you on a San Diego Food Tour where you’ll get a taste of San Diego’s present and past–without the risk of getting Shanghai’d!
Travel back in time with us on our popular San Diego food tour. Your guide will take you through the streets of the Gaslamp Quarter and reveal the true beginnings of San Diego–layer by layer. Learn why it’s only recently been safe to walk the streets at night, and how the city has managed to transform from an area that once claimed over 120 brothels into a vibrant nightlife hotspot as well as a major culinary destination.

Indulge yourself on the Brothels, Bites and Booze Tour with a food and drink sample from five of our favorite dining establishments in the Gaslamp Quarter. Finish your evening with a sweet treat and a titillating tale of one of the area’s most infamous brothels. This is the only San Diego food tour that can satisfy your curiosity and your taste buds!
