The sounds of ship horns in the bay approach the wharf, retail clerks sweep their stoops, horses trot along the dirt streets, and women hoot at sailors from tiny windows.  These are the sounds of San Diego back in the tail end of the 19th century.

Travel into a world of scandal and debauchery as we walk you through the streets of a famous Stingaree District, formerly known as one of the main red light districts in Southern California with more that 120 brothels at one point in time.  The tales of the past are funny and will blow your mind!  Get to know the roots of why this area has only recently been safe enough to walk at night, and has become the main nightlife and dining destination in San Diego.

The Gaslamp Quarter is home to over 100 unique restaurants and bars, and boasts a quaint small town city feel.  The Brothels, Bites, and Booze tour will allow you to experience a number of cuisines and restaurants for the ultimate experience of Downtown San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter.

As you walk along the brick streets marveling at the architecture, So Diego Tours will lead you to some of the best restaurants in the Gaslamp Quarter.  Experience the diversity of the city by tasting ethnic cuisine from Indian curry, to delicious seafood, and Mexican tacos.  You will even stop at a brewery where you will learn how beer is made as you sample 4-7 freshly brewed beers (day tour only).
