Congratulations! You’ve survived another week, and it’s time to celebrate life, love, and happiness over food and drink in the 48 hours sandwiched between the real world called “making a living”.
Sometimes the best times to celebrate life are when it’s bright and early and the sun is up: people are recognizable, the day is fresh, and it’s totally acceptable to wear flip-flops and jean shorts almost anywhere you go in San Diego. I’m going to help you save money and eat some amazing food in this list of best brunch spots that offer bottomless mimosas at Sunday Brunch in San Diego!
Please keep in mind that this list isn’t a ranking of which is better than the other. Each restaurant is unique in it’s own way. I just want you to get some good suggestions for places to go that don’t have an hour wait to be seated, and have bottomless mimosas for $10 or less!!!
Let’s start off with a French restaurant in Mission Hills called Café Bleu. This quaint venue boasts 4.5 stars on Yelp, and has wonderful options such as the Brandy French Toast, Ham and Brie Cheese Omelet, and Moules Frites (mussels and fries). The bottomless mimosas here are just $7.95, so be sure to come thirsty and enjoy!
Just southeast of Mission Hills in Hillcrest is Ortega’s Bistro, a Mexican restaurant serving up traditional Baja Cuisine, Mexican breakfast, as well as a few American favorites. Order the Mexican coffee with Kahlua and whipped cream before diving into the main dishes which include choices such as the Shrimp Omelet, Chorizo con Huevo, and the health conscious Egg White Veggie Scramble. Bottomless OJ mimosas are $9.95!
In the Gaslamp Quarter, there are many restaurants, but only a few do brunches the right way. I love the popular Mexican breakfast dish: chilaquiles, and I have yet to find some better than the ones at Quality Social. This place is hip, fun and offers some insane hangover helper dishes. They have TVs for the football fans, and bottomless mimosas for $10 from 11am- 3pm!
Now, if you want to be by the water, I would suggest heading toward Point Loma, to Jimmy’s Famous American Tavern aka Jimmy FATs. This place sits right on the marina, and has a beautiful patio to soak in the sun for your San Diego brunch experience. Order the traditional Steak and Eggs, or for a sweeter breakfast, go with the Crème Brulee French Toast. Bottomless mimosas here are $10 until 3pm!
