So Diego Tour guides have it so easy. All we do is learn the amazing history behind our city and show you a fun time with some delicious food and drinks. Not a bad gig, right? Well, it’s your chance to get on the So Diego bandwagon and show your group what it takes to be an effective and fun tour guide through a group scavenger hunt.
So Diego Tours’ product development team has created a fun way for you to explore the historic heart of San Diego and three of the top restaurants in the Gaslamp Quarter without an actual tour guide. You become the guide, and based on the materials provided to you by our staff, you have the clues you need to know where to go next, what to say, and what you’re tasting at each restaurant. Take photos, score some points, and see which team takes home the grand prize at the end of the tour.
This group scavenging hunt is an excellent team-building activity has you speaking aloud in front of your peers, guiding your team from stop to stop, singing songs, taking silly pictures, and eating and drinking at some of our favorite local restaurants.
What to Expect from a San Diego Scavenger Hunt
One of our friendly representatives gives you the address and time to meet at the first restaurant, where you are greeted by your So Diego tour guide. He or she will hand an envelope to two random “team leaders.” The envelopes contain instructions on what to do, and you’re off to experience a really fun night with your group.
Your So Diego guide pops in and out of the different restaurants to make sure that everything runs smoothly. At each restaurant, you will be served two to three delicious samples of their specialty dishes along with a choice of drink (wine, beer, or specialty cocktail). For those with dietary restrictions, just let us know what you can’t eat, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.
