Our Downtown San Diego bike tours take you through the best sites of the Embarcadero, Seaport Village, Gaslamp Quarter, and Little Italy in one day. Learn about the history of this port city as we ride along the harbor and take in views of the Bay.
Meet at 1355 North Harbor Drive to pick up your bike and meet your guide. Your guide leads you along the Embarcadero and shows you the USS Midway, iconic sculptures, and the famous historic vessels of the Maritime Museum. Feel free to take pictures of the beautiful views of the San Diego Bay and Coronado as we head toward Seaport Village.
Ride around Seaport Village and through the park where you can see kites soaring in the sky, horse-drawn carriages, and a perfect view of the Coronado Bridge. As we pass the Convention Center, learn about its location, the Convention Center occupies the area where the first U.S. wharf was built for ships sailing around Cape Horn and the Panama Canal.
Your tour then proceeds to Petco Park, home to the San Diego Padres. Your guide leads you into the Park, so you get a perfect view of how San Diego incorporated historic buildings into the architecture of the stadium and surrounding restaurants. The tour continues back toward the northwest side of Downtown to the quaint neighborhood of Little Italy.
Once in Little Italy, your guide takes you through the streets that were once home to the Italian mafia. Stop at a local café to enjoy either an Italian pastry or handmade gelato. Cruise through the rest of Little Italy as you take in the aroma of Italian food and see the beautiful murals throughout the neighborhood before heading back to the starting point.
Meeting Place: 1355 North Harbor Drive. It is in the same building as Holiday Inn, but it’s not a part of the hotel. You will see bikes parked South of the main entrance of the hotel.
